Just Buttons is one of the few button manufacturers that does not charge a setup fee for multiple designs. In fact, customers are allowed three unique designs for free. Occasionally we get the questions about what exactly is a button design.
Is two image on a single custom pinback button one or two designs?
One. A design is anything and everything put on the face of a button.
I want my design on a button but I want some to have a blue background and some to have a red background, is that one or two designs?
Two. Even if the same image or text is going on a button, our graphics department have to set each color up separately for printing and production.
If I have one design I want on both a 1″ and a 2.25″ custom pinback buttons, is that one or two designs?
Two. Each size requires our graphics department to set up the design differently.
If I have one design I want on both a 1″ pinback button and a 1″ keychain, is that one or two designs?
One. Because the same design is going on the same size button, it is considered one design. The graphics department must do no extra work to set up magnets, pinbacks, or keychains in the same size. The only thing that changes between these is the backing of the button.
